Why don’t you eat it?
食べた らどうですか？
Why don’t you study Japanese?
日本語を勉強したら どうですか？
Why don’t you buy a new car?
新しい車を買った らどうですか？
Why don’t you drink water?
お水を飲んだ らどうですか？
たらどうですか、may sometimes have a critical tone, criticizing the person for not having performed the activity already.
したらどうですか？

Someone is coughing and if you said, お水を飲んだらどうですか？ It does not sound criticizing, rather it sounds nice.
If someone is watching TV and if you said, 勉強したらどうですか？it would have a critical tone.
食べたら？
走ったら？
Depend on how you say it, it would sound criticizing or not.
Also, the pattern is not to be used for extending invitations.
If for example, you want to tell your friend to come visit, you do not want to say たらどうですか？but should use ませんか？
Why don’t you come to my place?
X うちに来たらどうですか？
○ うちに来ませんか？
Why don’t you eat this?
これを食べませんか？
Why don’t you go to watch a movie with me?
私と映画を見に行きませんか？
＜number +も＞
Basic structure for expressing numbers in Japanese.
Noun (が・を）+ number
猫 が 三匹
私のうちには、猫が三匹います。
There are three cats in our house.
傘を三本買いました。
We bought three umbrellas.
You can add も to the number word, when you want to say “as many as”.
My mother owns three, count them, three cats.
私の母は猫を三匹も飼っています。
As many as twenty students showed up at the party yesterday.
昨日のパーティーには、学生が２０人も来ました。
<しか＞
Number + しか + negative
You can add しか to the number word, and turn the predicate into the negative when you want to say “as few as” or “only”.
I have only one Japanese dictionary.
私は、日本語の辞書を一冊しか持っていません。
There are only two computers in this company.
この会社にはパソコンが二台しかありません。
I go to beach only once in a year.
私は、海に 一年に一回しか行きません。
There are only one ramen restaurant in this town.
この街には、ラーメン屋は一軒しかありません。
He gave me a ring.
彼は、私に、指輪 を （くれた）
I received a ring from him.
私は、彼から指輪を （もらった）
Our neighbor gave my mom flowers.
近所の人が、私の母にお花を （くれた）
She gave the dog food.
彼女は犬にご飯を（あげた）
