To give the reason for something, we can use the conjunction から
(reason) から (situation).
どうして、日本に行かないんですか？
Why aren’t you going to Japan?
休みが取れないから、日本に行けない。
I can’t take vacation, so I can’t go to Japan.
When you want to mention not just one but two (or more) reasons, you can use し instead of から。
休みが取れないし、お金がないし、日本に行けない。
I can’t take vacation, and, I don’t have money, so I can’t go to Japan.
Japanese language is interesting, and our teacher is good, so I really like my Japanese class.
日本語はおもしろいし、先生はいいし、私は日本語の授業が大好きです。
A friend came by, and I talked with my boyfriend on the phone, so yesterday was a great day.
友達が遊びに来たし、彼と電話で話したし、昨日はとてもいい日でした。
（Q）Do you want to go back to your country?
国に帰りたいですか？
(A) No, LIfe here in Japan is fun, and I have good friends here, so I don’t want to go back.
いいえ、にほんの生活は楽しいし、いい友達がいるし、帰りたくないです。
You can use just one し clause, implying that it is not the only reason for the situation.
(Q) Do you want to eat cake?
ケーキ食べたい？
(A) Well, I become fat and etc, so I don’t want to eat cake.
うーん、太るし、食べたくない。
物価が安いし、この町の生活は楽です。
Things are inexpensive (and for other reasons), life in this ity is an easygoing one.
Sometimes the し clauses follow the description of the situation explained.
山下先生はいい先生です。教えるのが上手だし、親切だし。
Professor Yamashita is a great teacher. He is good at teaching, and he is kind.
Note that し follows the short forms. In present tense sentences, this means that だ appears with な-adjectives and nouns, but not with い-adjectives.

She is popular. She is beasutirul, smart and kind (and so on).
彼女は人気があります。美人だし、頭がいいし、優しいし。
Kyoto is beautiful and quiet (and so on), so I love there.
京都は、きれいだし、しずかだし、私は好きです。
The restaurant is good! It’s delicious, inexpensive and good service.
あのレストランはいいですよ。おいしいし、安いし、サービスがいいし。
若い子は、”し”を使うのが好きです。ちょっとおもしろい感じだからです。
例えば、
午後３時に起きて、”おはよう〜！”と友達が言ったら、
”もうはやくないし” と 言います。ジョークで
sarcastsic な感じで言います。
