かもしれません is similar to でしょう

Something is a “possibility”.
＜かもしれません＞ or かもしれない、かも
You can use かもしれません when you are not sure what is really the case but are willing to make a guess.
かもしれません is placed after the short forms of predicates, in the affirmative and in the negative, in the present as well as the past tense.
Verbs: 行く かもしれません
い-adjective: 寒い かもしれません
な- adjective: 元気 かもしれません
Noun + です: 学生 かもしれません
Short form + かもしれません
雨が降る ＋ かもしれません
It may rain.

例えば
He might like dogs than cats.
彼は、猫より犬の方が好き かもしれません。
The weather may not be good tomorrow.
あしたは、天気がよくない かもしれません。
